Together with the Wildman Triathlon organizers and Anderson County tourism, we embarked on the exciting task of creating a brand that would not only stand out in the competitive world of endurance sports but also celebrate the unique local folklore of the area.

Our journey with the Wildman Triathlon was truly one-of-a-kind. From the moment we learned about Anderson County's long history of Bigfoot sightings, we knew we had something special on our hands. The challenge of blending this intriguing local folklore with the intensity of a triathlon was both exciting and daunting.

As we dove into the branding process, we were constantly inspired by the enthusiasm of the event organizers and the local community. Their stories about the Wildman and their passion for showcasing their beautiful region fueled our creativity. The idea to incorporate the Bigfoot silhouette into the logo came during a brainstorming session where we were all sharing local legends – it was one of those magical moments where everything just clicked.

Developing the broader brand identity was like piecing together an exciting puzzle. We wanted to capture the thrill of the race, the beauty of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, and the mystery of the Wildman legend. Every color choice, every piece of copy, was carefully considered to tell this unique story.

Winning the Gold Addy Award for the logo design was a wonderful recognition of our team's creativity, but the true reward has been seeing how this brand has resonated with participants and the local community. It's become more than just a triathlon – it's a celebration of local culture, athletic achievement, and the spirit of adventure.

As the Wildman Triathlon continues to grow, we're filled with pride knowing that our collaborative efforts have helped create an event that not only challenges athletes but also shines a spotlight on the rich culture and beautiful landscape of Anderson County. This project reminded us of the power of storytelling through design and the magic that can happen when local lore meets athletic endeavor.
